About the Role

IBM is hiring a Data Engineer for its Consulting Client Innovation Center in Navi Mumbai. This role is part of IBM’s Consulting division, which delivers deep technical and industry expertise to clients in both public and private sectors. You will collaborate within agile teams to drive innovation, build advanced solutions, and support cutting-edge technological transformations for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of new data platform solutions using modern technologies.
• Create and maintain ETL pipelines for large-scale distributed data processing.
• Discover, test, and apply new technologies and tools to optimize business solutions.
• Provide support and guidance to project teams regarding coding practices, troubleshooting, and technical execution.
• Work under an agile development framework for continuous improvement.
• Ensure solutions meet both business requirements and technology standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's Degree preferred).

• Experience with Big Data tools like Hadoop, Kafka, and HDFS.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries like Pandas, NumPy.
• Strong SQL skills for handling large-scale data transformations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work in hybrid and global team settings.
• Preferred:
• Experience with designing architecture strategies and monitoring systems.
• Exposure to detection/prevention tools or customer-facing data platforms.
